A Nakheel development in Warqaa built between 2002 and 2008, divided into clusters named China, England, France, Persia, Greece, Spain, Morocco, Russia, Italy — each with loosely thematic facades on identical low-rise blocks. Around 60,000 residents, predominantly South Asian, African, and Chinese workers at the lowest price point for self-contained apartments in Dubai.
The China Cluster is the most developed: a functioning commercial strip of restaurants, supermarkets, and businesses operating largely in Mandarin. The rest is more generic. No metro, no beach, no brunch — the residents are not there for any of those things.
