The informal Emirati greeting, more casual than marhaba and distinctly Gulf. Hala wallah ('hi, by God') doubles down and is usually warm and enthusiastic. Young Emiratis and Dubai-raised Arabs use it the way English speakers use hey. Sounds right when it's natural; sounds studied when it isn't.
