A modern tram line opened in 2014, running along the coast through Dubai Marina and JBR and connecting to the Metro and the Palm Monorail. It fills the gap the Metro doesn't reach in the Marina district.

Useful, scenic, and — like the Metro — paid with a Nol card. Notably one of the first tram systems anywhere to be fully air-conditioned at its stations.
