The coastal strip running from Satwa north to Umm Suqeim south — Jumeirah 1, 2, 3. Mostly low-rise villas, embassies, international schools, and the infrastructure that accumulates around a suburb that's been expat-heavy for thirty years: yoga studios, French bakeries, brunch spots, dog groomers. The beach is residential and club-access for most of the strip; Kite Beach is at the southern end.
The most self-contained lifestyle area in Dubai — everything reachable by car, a supermarket within three minutes in any direction. The Jumeirah Mosque (open to non-Muslims for guided visits) and Madinat Jumeirah are the landmarks. The Jumeirah resident who has never been to Deira is a known type.
